MCDB Senior and Student Awards 2023
Robert L. Sinsheimer Award in Molecular Biology Recipient
This award was initiated in 1997 through the generosity of Professor Robert Sinsheimer, a distinguished Biochemist and Molecular Biologist and former University of California Chancellor, to recognize the graduating senior in the department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with the highest academic performance in the core courses of the specialized Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology majors.

Jean Devlin Memorial Award in Pharmacology
Awarded to the graduating senior in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology with the highest overall academic performance in the core courses of the Pharmacology Major. This award was initiated in memory of Jean Devlin, a Pharmacologist who was instrumental in the development of the Pharmacology Major at UCSB, the first such major in the nation.
